Ekambar Cattery is located in Northern California. We are members of TICA ( The International Cat Association) and TIBCS (The International Bengal Cat Society).
Our objective is to combine the genes of the most striking, beautiful and wild looking Bengal cats. We want to assemble the most solid base for our breeding program.
Our Bengals are raised indoors. They become part of our family since the moment they are born. Our number one priority is our cats well-being; subsequently, we will not put them in cages!! It just brakes my heart to see those beautiful creatures in confined spaces. Because of that we decided to keep our breeding program small.
We conditioned a very nice and spacious room for our Bengals where they can play, eat, and sleep...if they want...Each one of them has its own room too...
Not only the wild look of the Asian Leopard Cat is important to us, temper is also very important. Every day we spend quality time with the little babies. We introduce them to pets and people, this way they will grow to be well socialized cats.
Each kitten that we bring into the world is very precious to us, and we ensure their well-being by placing them with owners who are ready, willing, and able to provide a loving, forever home where all the kitten’s need will be met.
The health and longevity of each of our kittens is as important as beauty and personality, so we take careful measures to ensure that we are producing healthy kittens that are free of common cat illnesses as well as any hereditary disorders.
The cats in our breeding program are periodically tested and cleared for FIP, FELV, FPV, and FIV. They are also anually screened for HCM.
The kittens will be litter trained, and vaccinated before they leave to their permanent homes.
We love to stay in touch with our kittens after they leave us, and enjoy receiving photos and updates!
