Bengal Cat History

ALC Subspecies

Asian Leopard Cats are small wild felines widely disseminated across Asia from the jungles and forest of Philippines and India to the  mountains of China.

There are several subspecies of Asian Leopard Cats. Some are small (4-6 lbs) such as the P. Bengalensis Borneoensis. Others are big cats like the P. Bengalensis Manchurica which weights up to 13 lbs.

Pattern and color differ according to their habitat. ALCs living in the jungle have more vivid colors and pattern and short coat. Felines that live in the cold mountains have a more thick coat, and light colors.
