Glitter is an interesting and unique characteristic of the Bengal which denotes a “gold dust” effect over its coat. It is produced by reflection of light on the hollow hairs of the Bengal cat.
The term “fuzzies” refers to the thicken coat that kitten acquire at 4 or 5 weeks old. It represents a sort of camouflage inherited from the ALC that help the kitten to “blend” with its surroundings. The kitten looses the fuzzies by 12 weeks old.
