The Bengal standard is the description of the features that define the breed’s looks and structure.

The standard describes features such as size and profile of the head; shape, size, and placement of the ears; nose profile; chin appearance; neck proportion and length; tail length; musculature. The description of the coat pattern and markings includes color and the presence of rosettes or spots or marbled pattern.

The following is a  representation of the TICA Bengal standard. For the complete standard description please visit the TICA web site.

or random spots in extreme contrast to background color.

Rosettes very desirable. No vertical stripes. Spotted belly.

Bold chin-strap and mascara markings desirable. Marbled

          eye as possible.

      3. Broad muzzle, prominent whisker pads.

      4. Medium, small ears. Rounded tips.
